ADC Taster to Agility Course!

DoAgility.png

This fun, 5-week course is open to dogs from 12 months of age and designed to give you a taste of the sport of agility so you can find out if it’s for you, and most importantly your dog!

Our Taster course is an excellent way for you to spend time with your dog, continue your training and learn some valuable skills you can use in your everyday life. It also serves as the feeder program into the club’s more extensive training program.

We hold up to 5 intakes of Taster to Agility per year, weather permitting. Classes are capped at 10 students maximum, to ensure you have adequate time with the instructors and on equipment to ensure your success.

Intakes fill quickly and waitlists are kept on our booking system, with places filled on a first-come first- served basis.

Prior Knowledge & Dog Suitablity

Taster to Agility is not designed to be the start of your training journey. Dogs should come to our Taster Course with good foundational obedience, beyond puppy school and should be able to:

  • Sit and stay

  • Recognise their name

  • Recall under distraction both on and off leash

Dogs should also be fit and healthy to attend.

Agility is a highly arousing sport and our grounds can be overwhelming for reactive dogs. Classes are unfenced and you will be training next to other classes with off leash dogs. If your dog is human or dog reactive this may not be the right training environment for you. If you are unsure about your dog's suitability please contact the Secretary at secretary@agilitydogclubnsw.com.au to discuss before booking into the course.
