2019 Trial Results

Agility Dog Club of NSW trials for 2019 was kicked off with our agility night trial on 5th March. Thankfully to our judge Dr Le Hammer (NSW) who was able to provide some interesting agility challenges for our competitors.
13th of July our annual Winter Trial. We would like to thank our judges; Cam List (NZ!), Moira Bruce and Bruce Havord (NSW) for having intriguing courses. We would like to thank the Koolie Rescue Club for coming all the way from Canberra to cater the event and help raise money for the Koolie Rescue.
Our 30th Anniversary Trial was held over the 26th and 27th of October. As always our wonderful judges, Scott Fletcher (VIC), Ashley Roach (NSW), Jo Comber (NSW) and Leanne Davis (NSW), provided some exciting and challenging courses. Being our anniversary Trial we manged to gift every competitor a new number badge and some yummy dog biscuit (kindly donated by our Platinum Sponsor Sassy Treats). It was fantastic to see so many of our life members and gold cup recipients attend our cake cutting ceremony on the Saturday and hear from our current President, Anthony Adam as well as our inaugural President, Graham Elven.
At this trial we asked our community to give donations for Pets In The Park and also donations for the homeless in need.
We were blown away by the generosity of everyone and we we were able to share the love around our community
We were able to give approx:
Pets in the Park
♥️ 120 x 3kg bags of dry dog food
♥️ 3 x huge bags of leads and collars
♥️ 3 x huge bags of toys/misc items
♥️ 7 x boxes of treats
Also:
♥️ 3 x 16-20kg bags of dry dog food to the AWL inspectors
♥️ 6 x boxes of treats, sheets & large blankets to the Animal Welfare League NSW
♥️ 6 x boxes of treats to the Hawkesbury Pound (guarded by Rusty)
♥️ 6 x bags of clothes/shampoo/soap and other essentials to Wayside Chapel

Thank you to Luciana from Sassy Treats Pet Food for transporting the bulk of the donations to Pets in the Park in the city and to Nathan  and Chloe Crass (plus Rusty) for helping us to transport the donations to AWL and Hawkesbury Pound.
Our last trial of the year was our Tuesday Night Jumping Trial, held on the 12th November. The day started off being categorised as having catastrophic fire conditions with temperatures reaching in the high 30's. Our committee spend majority of the day checking the RFS and the BOM websites for updates as well as continuously looking at live traffic conditions in every direction. Thankfully no major fires occurred near our grounds and thanks to a wonderful breeze, we were able to have a cool trial with little smoke in the air. Thanks to our Judge Michelle Tunbridge (NSW)  for coming up with her interesting courses. Due to the fires around NSW, our committee decided quite quickly that the best option for us was to donate all of our profits to  the NSW Rural Fire Service which will directly benefit volunteer firefighters as well as offered refunds to any competitor who could not make the trial due to the fires.
Congratulations to everyone who competed, showed amazing sportsmanship and obtained some incredible results through out the year! We hope to see you all again in 2020.
